Application description:
Widely used in power transformers, distribution transformers, electric motors (AC/DC), generators, inductors, and ballasts. Grain-oriented (GO) silicon steel is ideal for transformer cores where low core loss and high permeability are critical. Non-grain-oriented (NGO) silicon steel is suitable for rotating machinery such as motor and generator cores. Excellent magnetic properties and lamination efficiency ensure energy-saving performance in electrical equipment.

Production description
Steel is melted with 0.5–4.5% silicon and continuously cast into slabs. After hot rolling and pickling, the strip is cold rolled to precise thickness. For grain-oriented (GO) grades, secondary recrystallization annealing creates oriented grain structure. Non-grain-oriented (NGO) grades undergo final annealing without this step. An insulating coating (C2–C5) is then applied. Finished coils are inspected for core loss and permeability.

Shipping Packaging
Silicon steel coils/sheets are VCI-wrapped, packed on ISPM-15 pallets, steel-strapped, edge-protected, and labeled with grade, thickness, and heat number for export.

Why Choose Us?
1.Factory Strength – Direct mill with integrated melting, rolling, and annealing lines, ensuring stable magnetic properties and consistent core loss values.

FAQ
1. How should silicon steel be stored before use?
Store in a dry, clean warehouse with temperature 15–35°C and humidity below 70%. Avoid contact with water, oil, or corrosive gases. The insulating coating is sensitive to mechanical damage, so handle with care and keep original packaging until use.
2. Can silicon steel be cut or punched without damaging the insulation coating?
Yes, but use sharp, well-maintained dies and punches. Burrs or excessive wear can damage the edge coating and increase core loss. For high-volume punching, proper tool clearance and lubrication are recommended.
3. What is the difference between C5 and C2 insulation coatings?
C2 is a semi-organic coating for general motor applications, offering good weldability. C5 is a highly insulating, organic-rich coating for high-frequency or high-voltage applications, providing superior interlaminar resistance. Choose based on your equipment's electrical requirements.
