Application description:

Galvanized steel sheet is widely used in roofing and wall panels (corrugated sheets, gutters, downspouts), automotive parts (body panels, chassis components), household appliances (washing machine drums, air conditioner housings), and electrical enclosures. It also serves in agricultural equipment, storage tanks, ventilation ducts, guardrails, and light steel framing. The zinc coating provides long-lasting corrosion protection, making it ideal for outdoor and humid environments.

Production description

The process begins with cold rolled steel coils, which are cleaned through degreasing, pickling, and fluxing to remove oil, oxides, and surface contaminants. The clean coils are then annealed in a continuous galvanizing line (CGL) under a reducing atmosphere to further improve surface quality. The strip is immersed in a molten zinc bath at approximately 450–460°C, where a metallurgical bond forms between the zinc coating and steel substrate. After exiting the bath, air knives control the coating thickness by wiping off excess zinc. The coated strip is then cooled, solidified, and optionally subjected to skin passing for improved flatness and surface finish. Final treatments include chromating or chromate-free passivation, oiling, and anti-fingerprint coating as required. The coils are inspected, leveled or cut to length, and packed for delivery.

Shipping Packaging

For export, galvanized steel coils/sheets are wrapped with VCI paper and moisture-proof polyethylene, packed on ISPM-15 certified wooden pallets or steel skids, secured with steel straps, and protected with edge protectors. Anti-fingerprint or oiled surfaces are additionally interleaved. Labels include grade, coating weight, dimensions, and heat number for safe transport.
