Widely used for anti-slip flooring in industrial platforms, construction sites, truck beds, trailers, stair treads, and walkways. Also suitable for agricultural equipment, railway stations, power substations, and outdoor ramps. The zinc coating provides long-lasting corrosion resistance in outdoor, humid, or chemically exposed environments, while the raised pattern ensures slip safety.

Production description

The process starts with hot rolled steel coil (grades Q195, Q235, Q345, etc.), which is pickled to remove scale. The clean coil is then fed into a rolling mill with patterned rolls to form the raised pattern (tear drop, diamond, or lentil) on the surface. After pattern embossing, the coil is annealed to restore ductility. It then enters a continuous hot-dip galvanizing line where it is cleaned, fluxed, and immersed in a molten zinc bath (about 450°C). Air knives control the zinc coating weight (Z40–Z275). The coated strip is cooled and optionally chromated or anti-fingerprint treated. The finished plate is leveled, cut to length, inspected for pattern uniformity and coating adhesion, then packed for shipment.

Shipping Packaging

For export, galvanized checkered plates are interleaved with kraft paper or foam to protect the zinc coating, stacked on ISPM-15 certified wooden pallets, secured with steel straps, and fitted with edge protectors. Moisture-proof wrapping added. Labels include grade, pattern type, coating weight, dimensions, and quantity for safe transport.

1. How to store galvanized checkered plates?
Keep dry and well-ventilated, avoid direct contact with water or acids, use interleaving paper between sheets, and store away from dissimilar metals.

2. Can it be welded without damaging the zinc coating?
Yes, but welding will burn off zinc near the weld area. Use low heat input and apply cold galvanizing spray for touch-up to restore corrosion protection.

3. Tear drop vs diamond pattern – which is better for slip resistance?
